Topic: SD3 bed will not repond

Hello! I am having some issues with the bed not responding to the manual controls. It heats up fine, it just will not do anything when I try to move it in RH. Any ideas on what I can do? I recently just installed the E3D hotend. I have not installed the power supply yet. Could this be the reason for no responding? Also the z- offset screw is not hitting the the little metal piece. Any ideas will be great! Thanks!

By "not hitting" do you mean it's too far away?
Some find you need to flip the z-stop screw upside-down to get the additional length needed to compensate for an E3D v5.

The bed should motor about before you home it, esp. if you try both up and down directions.

Try swapping z and y motor cables - do this with the power off (best for the stepper drivers). Then when you power on and reconnect, manually jog z in RH and watch the gantry move, and when you jog the y axis in RH watch to see if the bed moves. This will help you/us see if it's motor/wiring issue or a board issue.
