Topic: e3d wont reach temp

Hi, i just got my new e3d v6 extruder today i wired up everithing and i cant reach 200 degree im stuck to 170 !

Without is fan the e3d will reach is temp

I got a SUPERNIGHT 12v 30a powersupply !

I am 99% sure you assembled it incorrectly. Is the heatsink touching the heat block?

yes the heatsink is touching the heat block ? not suppose to ?

I just rewach the installation video and found my error ! I installed my heatsink before the nozzle !

Yup, should be a gap, something like this (image is a v5 I think but same idea):

The idea is to minimise heat transfer between the block and the heatsink, so there's a very narrow section of stainless heatbreak in there to help with that. If the block touches the heatsink then a whole lot more heat power is moving into the heatsink and ending up in the air!
