Topic: Ramps 1.4 firmware installation

Dumb question: Does one have to remove the RAMPS from the (in my case) Taurino board before installing the firmware?
I've seen it mentioned but I'm not sure if it's a requirement or just a preference.

What have you gotten yourself into??? smile  I can't see any reason why you can't flash it that way.
