Topic: Printer not following coordinates

I bought my solidoodle 3 a few weeks ago and havnt been able to print an actual object yet. On most of my prints the test bubble (if thats whats its called) prints fine but when it comes to actually printing the object on the 2nd of 3rd layer its as if something itsnt following the coordinates its getting from slicer. As you can see in the picture it goes "out of bounds" so to speak. Im not sure if the bed is warped would have anythin.g to do with it because i think mine is a little

Re: Printer not following coordinates

Looks like one of the axis's is botched.

There are several causes for this, mis-calibration of the Vref(tiny potentiometer's on the motherboard) of the stepper drivers, overheating stepper drivers and belts that are over tightened.
I'd start with the belts and make sure they are all rather similar in tension but not too tight then move on to calibrating the pots and cooling.
The vref is best done with a multimetre but can also be dialed in by sound of the motors moving and performance.
As to cooling, I'd definitely be looking at pointing a desk fan at the motherboard until you can print a fan holder replacement for the transparent cover.
Grab a few 40mm pc fans and just stick them over the board, should deal with all the overheating issues.

This is a crowd funding thing that I'm running: http://www.gofundme.com/bvi140 It's for pretty selfish reasons tongue
