Topic: Temperature is Reset error
Hi Everyone,
I just installed the E3D with the MK5. I also uploaded the new firmware with the .22 Arduino version (couldn't get the newer prepackaged version to upload). Did an 8 hour print yesterday with no clogs which is fantastic. Today is another matter. If I print for about 5 minutes, it will stop in mid print and both the bed and the E3D begin dropping in temp. The light on the Repetier software buttons are still on which makes me think the software isn't automatically shutting it off. Then it starts to spit out the error "Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)" and it just keeps repeating that until I close out of the program.
Could it possibly be a power supply or wiring problem? I installed a new power supply (SUPERNIGHT 12v 30a Dc Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply 360w). However instead of the lights flickering every so often like they did with the old power supply, they flicker very fast when the E3D heats up. I also think the stock bed takes longer to heat up then before. Since I did such a long print yesterday, I figured it was fine, but maybe not.
I'm not sure if it matters, but here is my setup:
SD3 with ATMega 644P
Cannibalize AWG connectors from an old Solidoodle extruder
Supernight Power Supply
MK5
Stock bed heater
Plexiglass enclosure
Mac Repetier/Slic3r
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
