Topic: Any stl's for Solidoodle 4 X Axis carriage?

I may have to print out a new x axis carriage for the Solidoodle 4.  Anyone know if there are plans anywhere?  All of the plans I come across are for the Solidoodle 3 and that machine has 2 rods.

How many rods does the SD4 have?  I have been under the impression that 3 and 4 are basically the same in that regards.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL

As far as I know (an please feel free to correct me), the SD4 is nothing more than a SD3 with a box around it, so the mechanical parts (carriages, extruder and stuff) should be directly replaceable with anything from an SD3.

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...
SD3 printer w/too many mods,  Printrbot Simple Maker Ed.,  FormLabs Form 1+
AnyCubic Photon, Shining 3D EinScan-S & Atlas 3D scanners...
...and too much time on my hands.

You are right - I apologize.  Same exact carriage.

The good news for you is there are a lot of different mods in that area that are fun to do smile

No apologies necessary.  That's what these forums are for.  Soon enough you'll be answering the same question to someone new.
