Topic: FilaWinder wanted

Hello,

I'm a noob but hope to learn very quickly.
Does anyone have a new FilaWinder kit for sale that will take less than 10 days to arrive?

I wanted to purchase from their website and found it would be 4~5 week delay before shipping.
That's way too long for me... :-)

Thanks

Re: FilaWinder wanted

I am one of two Filawinder distributors. Unfortunately, I am out of stock as Ian is waiting on PCBs, but I do know the other distributor:

Good luck!

elmoret,

Thank you so very much for the reply and the info.
I do apologize for posting in the incorrect places previously.

4-5 weeks lead time...for enough $ you could probably convince me to let mine go.

Hey DePartedPrinter,

I chose not to be ripped off.
I'm very disappointed in the way noobs can get taken and not remorse from the taker.

How do you sleep?

Unless you had other correspondence with him I fail to see (from his post above) how he was trying to rip you off.  More over his contributions here on the forum would make such an accusation hard to believe.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

Re: FilaWinder wanted

I think he's upset that DeParted implied it was only for sale for more than the asking price.

I wonder how he feels about a signed Babe Ruth playing card, or a Ferrari GT 250 California.

Supply and demand...

How is it that I am trying to rip you off?  I put a price on something that is currently unavailable and you did not agree with the price.  I priced it at a point where I am comfortable letting it go.  Deal with it.

You have the choice to either walk away and accept that it was more than you can afford or counter my initial price and try to negotiate.  Sorry if your not happy with how much $ I want for my FilaWinder.

Departedprinter said:It is still a kit.  I have everything it comes with along with the required 3D printed parts you need to assemble it. I got the kit when they first came out and have not had the time to put it together.
I would let it go for $325.00 shipped (assuming you are in the US)

I won't yours or my time going back and forth on this or trying to put someone down.

Ya'll be blessed.

Come on. Really? Departedprinter acknowledged you were looking for an item. He told you what he would sell HIS POSSESSION for. He even hinted the allowance of some haggling. This is more than fair in modern economics, and nobody is twisting your arm to accept the cost.
No need to belittle yourself publicly. If you don't have the cash, save. If you don't have the time, be patient or build one yourself. If you cannot create one from scratch within your desired timeframe, you would NEED to buy one at a price any individual seller would relinquish said goods at for in an agreed cost. If you, the buyer, do not accept the price, then move along to your other options. Again...modern economics. Or you could barter and offer to mow his lawn for a predetermined amount of time to make up for his loss in desired income.

You asked how departedprinter could sleep. With the definition of sale and purchase I just gave, I am wondering how you shop for groceries? smile

Re: FilaWinder wanted

Actually $325 isn't a bad price with the printed parts. You'd spend more than $150 getting say, Shapeways to print them for you.
