Where should I grab the 12v from, the extruder stepper fan or LEDs?

Re: Just installed a board fan

I'd grab it right from the 12V input (where the 12V comes in from the power supply).

If it makes too much noise and you can add an inline 100Ω resistor on the 12V wire and it will slow it down to about half the speed.  That is more than enough to keep the electronics cool, and the fan quiet.

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...

Thanks. I didn't feel like soldering on the board, so I just tapped into the LED leads. It's pretty quiet, I've got a window fan going when I print usually anyways.
