Topic: Issues getting printer to slice correctly

So I have a model I would like to print that is 2 inches tall but has a hole all the way through it.  Should I print it up right or on its back?  When I try to print it on its back the printer goes screwy and seems to slice the model correctly but then just prints a square.

Have you ran the stl through anything to check it?

post the stl maybe we can see whats wrong.
