upgrading to the newest, anyone see any issues with this yet?
Running a 4 hour print on it now - no issues seen yet
you have any issues getting started? Just got it to see my temps but no printer control.
no problems at all. Installed with no problems. Notice the "Change settings not saving" bug is still there but been living with it for a while now
They fixed the bug where if you specified another slic3r config directory, you edited in the specified directory, but sliced with the default. Now I can keep my slic3r profiles synced on all my PC's.
They need to put a PIN on that 3d-toolbar, it sliding in and out is driving me bonkers..
It freezes for me when I try opening it. I had to go back to the previous version.
it freezes on opening for me also
on a Win.7 machine.
After Running about 3 hours last night RH froze on me and ruined the print. Not sure if it was a fluke has something to do with the new version. Will start print again tonight and watch more closely...
Also, I had similar problem with previous version crashing immediately upon opening with WIN 7.
I had to ensure that the previous version was fully uninstalled before trying to install the new one.
For me, it has been hanging after slic3r tries to write the file:
21:15:07.772 : <Slic3r> => Exporting G-code to E:\Users\TheBogueRat\AppData\Local\RepetierHost\composition.gcode
Sometimes it will come back after a few minutes but tonight I let it sit for an hour and nothing happened. The progress bar kept scrolling. It's worse with multiple objects on the platter.
I installed and selected Slic3r 9.10 and that seemed to fix my problem but it is still slower than before.
Win 7

I had similar issue and had to turn off "AVOID CROSSING PERIMITERS" as it seemed to cause slic3r to hang.
Also, had twice now RH Crash in the middle of a print and only Error I could see in WIN 7 event viewer was an unhandled exception in OPENGL

The problem I still see with the new Slic3r is if I change say PERIMITERS FROM 3 to 4 once I hit save I watch it physically go back to 3.
However, If I change it to something stupid (like 3 to 40) it takes it when saving then I can change form 40 to 4 and it saves fine. GO FIGURE
Thanks, I turned off that option and it seems like it is back to normal.
I've been using a Panelolu because I had issues with computer lag. I miss the computer interface but the Panelolu is great and has eliminated host issues for me.
Too funny, I've seen that problem for a long time now. I tried using the little arrows to change the number; tried changing a bunch of stuff at the same time; and finally just broke down and look for the .ini file to change it manually.
You do have to change it to a huge number, save, then change back to what you wanted in the first place for it to work.
I can't complain too much, the price was great and the SD2 has been working like a champ since I got it tuned in.
This issue was already submitted by others also on the GITHUB
Still cant get 95e to see my printer, 85b works fine. I shouldn't have to uninstall the old version should I?
same, it slices fine, i just can't get it to recognize my printer or connect to my sd3, any ideas? .85 is still running fine.
tried 95 f. still will not connect to my printer. does it do anything better or am i trying to get it to work just for a better paint job?
I am running .95 with slic3r 1.0. I like the look and feel of .95. I did have to change some defaults to run the printer. When I get home, I will post some print screens. Slic3r 1.0 is giving me really nice prints on some small clips and pin I have been running. Much cleaner that the previous version.
Just updated to the latest version (0.95F). I am having trouble with this version loading models. It has been taking 30 min and only about 20% done importing the .stl file. It could be the .stl file but I was importing the files into the a previous version (0.82B) without any real delay.
Running Windows 7 with an SD3.
I have been using Skeinforge for all my prints and I have decided to upgrade repeiter and get the latest Slic3r working. I was very impressed how well it sliced models and printed them on an Orion Delta printer I was setting up.
Any thoughts on loading .stl time would be helpful!
How big are the stl's? you need lots of ram in windows for larger stl's.
I have been scaling back the .stl file size from the previous version of repeiter host. I am down to around 100k triangles with a file size of ~12MB. I have 8 GB of RAM on my machine.
I just ran a 20mb file in a couple seconds. You probably need to try running the model through netfabb to clean it up.

Have you tried turning off "AVOID CROSSING PERIMETERS" before slicing. There is a known issue with slicing either taking too long or hanging with the feature turned on.
ok, so it is more than likely my model.
Thanks!
how did everyone quickly copy over there old settings to the new software?
