Topic: Can't Keep this black filament from stripping

So i've tried this print 3 times. the first failed, the second succeeded and two failures after that one failed again, one succeeded. I printed the successful print at 190, then the next stripped the filament, so i bumped up to 200. That seemed to help a lot, but it still striped. I can print small things fine. the only problem comes with the 2+ hour prints. With my last roll of natural colored filament i had no problems whatsoever with filament stripping. I've tried changing the tensioner also. is it just this filament. or am i missing something. attached is a picture of the temp graph of the end of the print and two of the failed prints

Re: Can't Keep this black filament from stripping

Black can be one of the worst filaments to get right since a lot of the suppliers use filament that is to say the least substandard, it will usually take highers temps to get it to extrude properly and may clog easier. have you done the hotend pid calibration yet ? this will help if you need to go higher than 200 in temps without tripping the overtemp error.

Wow, that stripping is what I experience whenever I attempt to use ABS.  Haven't found a consistent fix for it yet.

How fast is your retraction speed? If you are using retraction... if its to high it might be the problem.

+1 for PID tuning. That temp graphs reveals a lot.
