Topic: Cannot Print Circles or Base Layer

Hi all,

Within the past week or so, my SD2 has been screwing up even the most basic prints. I'm assuming it's a Repetier issue, but I was wondering if some of you might be able to help.

First of all, I can't print circles (which i have done many times before). The extruder moves in a very jagged pattern - picture a super low resolution 2D image of a circle, lots of stepping.

In addition to that, many times when the first layer is printed, all that is extruded are tiny beads at the start and end of the line segment. On the occasion i do get a solid first layer, the subsequent ones go down very thin and "flake" apart when i remove the part from the bed.

Any ideas?

Do you have any gcode files around from an earlier, successful, print so that you can rule out a slicing problem?

It sounds like a partial clog, except for the erratic extruder movement.

Have you made any changes recently?

A photo might help.
