Topic: Trouble with Large Prints

Hi all,

I've been having moderate success with my SD2 while printing small things (gears and whatnot), but I can't seem to get anything larger to print. I'm currently working on a clock body - a cylinder with a .1" wall at the bottom, 5" dia. The skirt and brim go down with no issues, but once the first layer starts to print, instead of smooth, straight lines, i get tiny dots and scribbles, then it stops extruding all together.
Is there any explanation for this?

I just had something similar, my filament had unwound and knotted itself, so the extruder couldn't pull it through.  Check for free travel and easy unrolling.

I should also mention that i was able to print the part fine at 50% size. It's almost like the printer's afraid to make bigger parts!

Also, i'm using Repetier and Slic3r.
