Topic: Solidoodle 3 Bed Not Moving
Printing was working fine before, but now when I try to print, the bed doesn't move, so it ends up extruding in the air. It is connected and heating fine, though. What could be the problem?

If the bed is at the bottom of it's travel there is a chance it became stuck, can you turn the Z axis feedscrew by hand?
thanks for the reply, where is it at?
the long vertical screw between the to z rods on the back of the printer running from top to bottom, this is connected to the stepper motor that moves your bed up and down... it will be hard to turn by hand if the power is connected to the printer... will also be a little grease on it ![]()
turning it clockwise (looking down at it) will move the bed up. if this does not correct the problem then you might check the connections at the back of the printer where the cables plug onto the main prnter board... mainly the plug marked 'z'.
