Topic: massive oozing

Dunno what's happening, but lately it seems like the SD has been oozing a lot more than usual. For example, in the picture below this is how much oozes out after a print completes. It's never been that long before. At most in the past it's just been a little curl that might come out 1/4 of an inch. I'm even down to printing at 180 degrees for ABS. Maybe the consistency of this Sainsmart roll is changing? or anyone else have any thoughts?

Re: massive oozing

Do you have it set to turn off the extruder heat off/down after the print completes? If so then maybe add a some post print gcode to retract and relieve the back pressure. For the most part I never complain about free flowing filament, considering the alternative.

Re: massive oozing

Yea, extruder turns off. I'm only concerned because it never used to do that. It kind of seems like the longer a print goes now, the oozier it gets. For example, 30 minutes into a print there are more blobs and strings than earlier. Again, never really happened like that before. Was usually much more consistent through the whole print.

Sounds like filament contaminant.... moisture?
