Topic: Taulman Spool Holder

Are there any printable mods out there that would accommodate the 3/4" Taulamn nylon spools? Preferably something that works with the stock pipe.

E3D-v4 Hotend, MK5 carriage with round plastic wire conduit , 3/16" tempered glass,  Well nut, SureStepr SD8825 1/32 Extruder Driver, PowerEdge 2650 500W PS, QU-BD heated bed, circuit board fan, hinged plexiglass enclosure with plastic tray top. Other than that mostly stock SD3

I get my Taulman today. I'll see if I can figure something out.

Re: Taulman Spool Holder

I just made a little insert to go into the existing PVC mount and glued a 1/2" wooden dowel inside. Then I use another part with a 6mm thumbscrew to act as an guard to keep the spool located on the dowel.

Its simple and now the size of the spool doesnt matter at all anymore.

Re: Taulman Spool Holder

I made a printed adapter to hold it...and promptly broke it the first use lol. My fault, but I decided to go a different route.

Ended up printing one of these to set on top of my enclosure.

Perhaps you can just get a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer and a piece of 1/2 pipe (they sell precut 2ft, cheapest option) from Home Depot etal? Guessing $2-3.
