Topic: Better spool placement?

So I believe my x/y drift is caused by the spool not rotating freely enough.

Did anyone else have this problem with the SD2 Pro spool holder? It's very hard to get it to stay in one place, let alone keep the spool rotating. I feel like mounting it above the printer would be a better idea.

Anyone got some good suggestions for ways to suspend the spool above the printer?

Aside from going to home depot and grabbing a bunch of pvc to build a small tower to hold it I can't think of anything else

I load my filament directly from top. (without going thru the hole in the back *caugh*) just print thing:97734 and buy a section of 3/4 pvc

Re: Better spool placement?

Thanks a lot man. Here's hoping my printer will cooperate enough to print that

here you go. mounts on top of Solidoole and the rod holding the spools snaps into the holder. And depending on printer/spools can hold 2-3 spools.
