I say cancel if that's what you want to do. I bought the solidoodle because of price to begin with and I think it looks much nicer than most reprap plus the exterior case was something I wanted. I'm ok with the wait, gives me time to tinker with software, buy supplies, etc etc. The only thing that scares me is the new statement from the website about Christmas orders. I don't want machines ordered in September/October and later to be prioritized because they want it for xmas. If this starts to really get out of hand I will be upset. In reality I feel the only ones deserving of prioritization would be those drastically helping the community

it's normal... i receive my printer after 2 weeks (canada) and the tracking status never change from 'electronic info received'

I'll be heartily pissed off if I haven't gotten my machine by Christmas, - having ordered in the summer.
and some johnny come lately gets his because he says he wants it as a gift.

solidoodle shouldn't be screwing over their long suffering customers again.

Order #1130 ordered May 15th arrived Oct. 3rd.

I too felt like pulling the plug since my order was taking so long but it was worth it.

Amazing little machine that seems to function well. Fit and finish is ok, a little crude in spots but its important to balance this with its cost.

Finally..... now to print stuff!

I was printing stuff within 1 hour (windows - I gave up on Ubuntu after a short while).  I'm so glad I got this!

SD2 Sanguinololu 1.3a atmega1284p, wood platform, lawsy's carriages, braided fishing line, pallet wood overhead spool mount, carboard/magnet enclosure, glass bed, E3D v6, bed levelling knobs, extended z-stop, 25A DC-DC SSR for bed heater, everything fixed to the SD2 frame, marlin firmware with some adjustments and extra failsafes enabled.  I'll never give up on you, little printer that could(n't)!

It is located in the faq. I'm just hoping they really don't prioritize the ones that mention Christmas. I'm too honest to lie and act like i need mine for a business or whatever reason to prioritize and I hope I don't get screwed in the end for that. I'm at like 6-7 weeks now and by the looks of things they barely if at all touched june orders yet

If it's for Christmas then we suggest you put a note with your order.

I hope this doesn't happen.
I've already missed a friends birthday where I thought it'd be cool to make them something.
It's looking like I won't get it for my birthday either.
If I don't get it by Christmas and someone else does then it will be tragic!

I've asked how many printers there were in front of mine (order 1827, 4th June)
And John said 100 pcs.

They produced 100 pcs. in a periode from 14.-22. sept (20 each working day)
And from 22. sept to 5. oct the produced 200 (also 20 each day)
Maybe they work Saturday also...

But maybe this helps for some of you also... smile

well printer was shipped on the 4th, collected on the 7th, it is now in the UK awaiting customs clearance...can't wait!

I really need to stop  checking this thread.

two weeks ago support told me, We will be shipping junes orders next week.
one week ago, Mays orders were still not complete.
now someone ise saying printers from the start of june aren't even made yet, (hundreds from being made), a week after support had said that they'd be shipping!

it's not surprising that we can't get accurate estimates of when orders months ahead oh what's shipping now might ship, because these guys apparently don't know what's going on from one day to the next!
(but they are still willing to make promises on 8-10 week delivery times!)

Yeah, I don't think the problem lies in this thread...

The problem is that we aren't getting what we were promised.

From their previous promises, June orders were supposed to be all finished by now.
And now we find out they haven't even started June orders...

Eta's are guesstimates not promises, you will get you printers that's a promise, but you have to understand that when a start-up company is swamped with orders you will have delay's.

And please do understand they are having bottle necks for materials and people. As thier assemblers become more familiar with the materials and the systems they will gain speed. Believe me i'm anxiously awaiting and i only ordered in august if ti gets here by christmas i'll be very happy i have toys i'm getting ideas on making for niece and nephews

Almost everyone who has posted ship dates waited 19-20 weeks.  If you are wondering when yours will ship, figure it will be 20 weeks from your order.  If production really does speed up like they say, then you can be pleasantly surprised when it comes earlier.  If the reduced orders of June and July cause the lead time to shorten, then we should start seeing it over the next few weeks of shipping reports. 

If the next Ordered/Shipped report comes in at 18 weeks, then you can knock a week off your estimated wait.  That will probably be more reliable than any guess from Solidoodle.

Yeah this is true, but their ETA has turned out to be ridiculously inaccurate...
