Topic: Fan was incorrectly wired on arrival.

Hello,
Reporting in that my fan was incorrectly wired.  No big deal but a silly mistake.

Appears to be very common with recently shipped printers.

You're about the 4th report of it on the forum in past 3 weeks...

And yes - it shows the solid level of QA that seems to be happening at the moment over there in Brooklyn.....  they clearly aren't checking the extruder fans at all before shipment because its pretty obvious if its running or not just by adding power to the printer...

I'd like to say I'm shocked.. but unfortunately... it seems par-for-the-course from SD lately.... based on comments on the forum at anyrate...

Re: Fan was incorrectly wired on arrival.

Hi everybody,
also my printer had this problem, bought first week of June through iMakr.
Fortunately I extensively read the forum and the guides before doing anything , as one could think the fan operation is tied with temperature.
Yes they need to improve their QA process, but it would get easier to the technicians if they used some sort of color coded wire for the positive and negative wire, actually the wires are completely black and impossible to tell if the fan would work without powering the machine.
