Topic: SD White ABS Filament Temp, FLowrate Extrusion guidance
Well I have been playing with new white abs from SD and it looks totally different then natural. meaning the layers appear more round and less refined then the natural.
My natural ABS ran at 195 and .89 and the layers always looked the same (i might had banding wobble, etc) but the slayer string and infil always looked uniform, top fill had little to no gaps against internal perimeters and top fill always looked great had a good finished look to it. Like a machine part sort of.
the new stuff almost look toy like. I dialed my temps down and got my flowrate at ,28mm all running well. It extrudes well, has good extrusion rate and I tried banding test to confirm temperatures. I am running now at 187 and .86 I tried down as low as 183 and it didnt extrude well in banding test and 191 extrudes well but seems oozy and layer get fat or squished and internal small diameters circles get all messy and stringing.
Look at my prints you can see that there is a wavyness ot the sides. I can see as the layers go down the filament has a ripple to it as it extrudes. and you see that pattern texture
the layers look uniform but they appear more fat then my thin layers from before? Is this too much temp still? is 187 normal maybe still too low, bump to 191 and play with lower extrusion?
Maybe the white stands out more and makes the layers appear like this vs the natural?
I am noticing little more drag across the infil and even top layers
Banding: It appears I have banding more then wobble? but you can see that abpout 1/2" up on ALL of my prints I always have a shift in/out in the x you can see the budge in the prints at the bottom
.3 print
see the middle wobble happens on ALL of my prints. I am going to a 5mm rod and this is after zwobble fix, nut and software seems more pronounced on this film

see top fill drags and bloppy but even worse if I had temp higher and lower flowrate seems to have small wall thickness. Is this the infamous filament slip? in the extruder feeding more or less since it is slipping on the gear
this is 2mm print looks better in person when close up but still feel the bands

and top infill but I think this was extrusion problem. I had scaled down infill extrusion width for a test and it was .19 when I set to 90%. ( I assumed 90% of the .42 but it was of the layer height?)
and bridging inside I thought not too bad but want to improve

Print for fun and for parts for my sports cars
current car is 88 IROC
