That's messed up, I would ask Solidoodle for a replacement right away because you never know when it's going to fail on you.

Re: bracket bad.... it is breaking down.

On my bed it seems to have pieces that curve right there to avoid the cracking... I hope they send you a new bed support like mine.

Personally I would use a mending plate to hold it in place, but I don't understand how you could design something like that and intend it support anything let alone it's own weight. It seems they've fixed this in the later versions ( I.E. Mine) but a metal bed support might be even better.

I'll try to get better picture later, but you can see the curves of those pieces on the sides...

Re: bracket bad.... it is breaking down.

Get some thin CA glue.  Hold the pieces securely together and add a few drops of CA.  Thin CA will wick into the crack and it should be as strong, or stronger, as new.  We model airplane builders have been doing this sort of thing for many years.  As long as there is no oil/grease in the crack, the CA will bond it together.

Re: bracket bad.... it is breaking down.

Easy fix...

1) Order the latest Misumi catalogue
2) place it on bed.
3) Then call SD and tell them it fell apart and you need a new one.
4) wink

CA is short for cyanoacrylate glue, AKA super glue.
