Topic: Messed up with the platform screws

Hi folks,

got my Solidoodle 3 last week and it worked pretty well. Therefore I decided to calibrate the platform to get even more stunning results. I printed out the thumbscrews to adjust the level but then my pitfall begins:

When mounting the thumbscrew at the backside of the platform I messed it up and the mount screw got loose... I tried to screw it back in but it seems to be quite tricky. The small metal grippers don't hold anymore. Furthermore the platform is not on the perfect level and leaning towards the backside of the printer. Printing is not possible anymore as the gap between the platform and the extruder is too wide and the printer is printing "in the air"...

I have attatched a picture of the mess. Looking for some advice how to fix it and what things I should avoid.

Thanks

Elias

Re: Messed up with the platform screws

it's not a problem...just turn the screw (with an Hex key) until the backside mount screw is on place again... there is a spring between the hotbed and the wood plateform that will make all in good place... the spring should be tight enough

then do your platform calibration... (don't unscrew this one, but screw more the others.. then play with the Z screw to adjust the whole plateform)
