Topic: Filawinder always spinning
I am trying to calibrate the winder but it's always spinning I checked the wireing and the switch works. I checked it with a meter. I could use some help. I don't know what to try next

So when I plug the winder in it spins no matter what I do I have checked all the wireing and it checks out only thing I can think is maybe the magnet is backwards? I did the spend test but still could have gotten pulled over would this be a symptom of that?

Spin test* so I flipped the magnet no charge please help I am working with pla and need the winder

If you turn the variable knob does the motor get faster and slower?

No but it moves the gide left and right

in manual mode the the knob only controls the speed of the winder unless you are holding a button down. I think you might have a wire crossed if its not controlling the speed

The buttons move left right and Center so I don't know

Looking at the control board in the video you posted, there is a MOSFET and a power regulator with silver looking tabs. It looks like they may be touching each other ot something else. Make sure they don't touch and then see what happens.

If you have or can find some cheap heat shrink tubing that will fit over one of those it would prevent that from happening in the future.
