Hey there,
I'm a newbie, trying to figure out if there is a way to wire the MK2a Heatbed directly to a 12V Power Supply. I mean, independent from the 3D Printers control board. What would be the components I need and the wiring/ connections to make?
12V ---------> ??????? ----------> Mk2a /HeatBed
heated bed on a filastruder?
The simplest would probably just jet a ramps bard w/ arduino 2560 and a thermisistor. . Maybe a 2o04 controller board . or just find a good arduino book like the Arduino cook book it should give I/O info for such a projects.

Looks like it would work . You may need an additional SSR to power the heat bed. Cheap enough assuming you do not need this for critical control and you are not in a rush.
What is your application if I may ask.

- Like you suggested, I guess the SESTOS D1S-2R-24 should be a good option, over the board I suggested.
- Could you help me with, what the connection diagram would look like? Below are the components I have/intend to buy:
1. Power Supply 12Vdc

Would I need anything else other than wires, to make this run independently?
You could wire it just about the same as the filastruder instructions. Just without the motor and stall protection board. heat bed in place of heat band
