Topic: Filastruder : Heater issue

Hi here !

I'm the 3043 Filastruder smile

I mounted it today, and wired it like in the manual, just without the 2 switches because they are not in the box sad

2 fans are okay, feed screw turn well, temperature sensor working perfectly, but the heater doesn't heat.

I'm not sure to do the write thing to start the heating.

My Filastruder came with a Stestos d1s-2r.

If you have any idea.

you need those switches. the machine needs to get to a stable operating temp before you start trying to extrude. You should write Tim an email. As for the heater Id check the wiring after you add the switches

Thank you Kronikabuse, I have write a mail about that already, but its not really the point of this topic, I don't want to extrude without heating at correct temperature. Except switches, wiring is almost the same than the manual : heater is on pin 7 and 10 of the PID, and except heater, every other pieces working well.

But maybe I don't know how to start the heating process on the PID, set the correct value and run ?

Perhaps my heater is defective.

I haven't received any email about missing switches.

Do you have a jumper between pin 8 and pin 9 as described in the instructions?
What is the resistance of the heater when not connected to anything else?

This is really a nooby thing, I forgot to strip the insulation of wires.....

This working well now !!!
