Topic: The Pros & Cons of Kapton Tape in This Case

I just finished installing a new heat pad under my aluminum build plate on my SD2.  For the last 2 1/2+ years I have printed on the aluminum covered with Kapton tape then glass & hairspray.  I am currently printing without the tape, but with the glass & hairspray.  Is there any benefit of reapplying the tape between the bed & glass?  I always print on glass.

The tape is nothing more than an alternative to glass. If you are using glass stay with.
