Topic: Converting from MXL to GT2

Okay, printer is a SD3. my X-axis belt broke, so i ordered GT2 20T belt and pulleys. But forgot about the Y-drive belt...suggestions other then direct Y drive. Choosing  the correct closed loop Y-Drive belt for a 20T GT2 conversion. For now i could always just convert the X-axis over and leave the MXL belts on the Y-axis unless the SD3 Stock Y-drive belt is compatible is GT2 conversion? My guess is NO...

"SD3" 5/02/13 03943, RAMPS 1.6+, Enclosed,  360W12V30A PSU, E3DV6(new model), Nema17 .9 (E)  Over kill Y brackets, Y drive Bearings, Y-Direct Drive, Hale bed heater on 3/16 aluminum, Lawsy Carriage upgrade, gt2 20T Pulleys.

look up the y axis direct drive upgrade

Sd4 #9080 with a glass bed. E3d chimera duel extruder. Paste extruder , duet wifi.
Lawsy carriages. linear bearings. Y axis direct drive, Kinect scanner

The direct Y drive is on my to do list. i may have to buy in instead of print it myself as originally  planned...Should be starting a new job soon...$ limited as of now. I also want to order a PrintitINC heated bed soon too! that way the print bed heats up as quick a the E3Dv6!
