Topic: da vinci 1.0a bricked!!!

i flashed my davinci 1.0a yesterday and i did all the damn steps and everything and all it wont even be recognized by the computer as a device and all the printer shows on its lcd is the two lines of bars and i don't know what i can do or to do to fix the printer

It more than likely is not truly bricked.  There are a number of threads here and over on Volitivo that talk about this issue and how to correct it.  I am sure someone can direct you to the right thread.

Actually it is impossible to brick the board this machine runs on as long as it is a 2.0 or lower and you have access to the erase jumper. The worse case is you will put it in boot strap mode which is most likely the case here and you will need to use bossac and the command line to load a pre compiled .bin to it and then it will show as a normal arduino device that arduino can see and upload to.. Right now yours has a flash that did not take.. So right now it is neither a due which would be seen by bossac nor is it an arduino device either.. Sort of stuck in between.. Just erase it again using the jumper and start over..

I cant even access it on my computer I hook the cable to it and it still wont work I cant get it to connect
and I have tried the jumper again still wont work

What are you trying to connect with?
