Topic: Underextrusion--Stumped

Hello, first time posting.
I'm currently using the stock 1.1.J firmware on my Davinci 1.0 with resetter and only printed with ABS.
Usually i'm able to find any problems i have on this forum, but this new problem happened and i'm just stuck. and i think i've tried everything.

One day i switched filaments and now i am definitely getting underextrusion.
The first thing i did was use the atomic pull method to attempt to get any gunk out, but it seemed clean.
I took apart the extruder, heated/soaked in acetone all that good stuff and made sure my nozzle was clear.
I was still getting under extrusion. I've tried using different filament spools, i've reinstalled the firmware, i even checked my stepper motors and the problem is still there.

My biggest confusion is that when i load filament, it extrudes nice and thick and looks perfectly normal. the problem seems to happen only during printing. how could this happen when i decide to change filament?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Is your bed too close to the nozzle? Could you have a loose connection in the heater that shows only away from the home position? Do you have your filament diameter set correctly Have you raised your temperature?filament acts like a heatsink so short feeds may not show much but a continuous feed will suck heat away. Could also be bad filament.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Thanks for the reply.

Bed is the correct distance,  although i did lower the bed height a little right before this problem happened. But now recalibrated it so it's back in the same height as before when it gave me successful prints.
Heater connection is good, i replaced it with a different plug..but if it was loose shouldn't it not extrude at all?
I did increase the temperature to 230C, no difference.
The filament should be ok because I used the same roll before with successful prints.
I can't set the filament diameter with stock firmware i believe.

The filament acting like a heatsink might be why it extrudes well during filament loading, but not during prints. not sure though.
