Why is it reversing my filament right before it prints? RH
Is it just retracting and then printing fine, or like it continues to go in reverse? Has it done this ever since you got the printer or did it just start happening? Is it possible that the plug is upside down/reversed?
The more details you can give at the start the more likely you will get someone that can help.
Ok, it's brand new.
I apologize in advance, this is my first Solidoodle. Here is what's happening...
1)I tried slicing it in Skeinforge and when I hit Run it immediately reverses the filament out and procceds to print without any. It extrudes and reverses quickly never actually pulling in any filament.
[Solved] 2) So i tried slicing it in Slic3r and it prints the first couple layers perfect with one exception (See 3) However layer 3-4 are often ofset by a half an inch or so. Causing a clusterf*ck on the platform.[Combination of filament dragging and problem number 3]
[Solved] 3) The biggest headache yet. Anytime there is something to move the motors on the Y axis past 100mm it grinds and shakes terribly. [Belts were too tight, loosened up and went fine.]
Again I apologize I'm new, I know it need calibrating but I am beyond the Wiki solutions and scratching my head...
Thanks,
K
No need to apologize, sorry if I came off sounding brash as that was not my intention. Glad you got it figured out.
No you didn't. I'm used to forums where it's "Search Noob!" and no help. Took me a bit but i got it printing great. Thanks.
