Topic: can't make ABS slurry

Nothing seems to be working for me when it comes to 3d printing.

I got few failed prints printed by my Solidoodle 4 with the ABS Solidoodle filament with no colorants, put it in a jar and poured some clear acetone in there, as everyone says.
Two days later, this:

it's like soft parts of bread in water. The are extremely soft and squishy but don't dissolve and form a creamy substance no matter how much I shake and mix them.

Then the ABS you are using is not pure. Be aware some companies recycle to save cost and add fillers like Polycarbonate and even PLA. Thats whys some filaments require a higher temp than others and sometimes even a lower temp.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Also possible that you don't have 100% pure acetone. Some countries don't allow it to be sold to the general public.
