Topic: E3D Online silicone heater
I have ordered one of the square silicone heaters from E3D (just for the gummy bears of course).
For those who have seen it, it has a lump in the center of one end.
My logical mind says that should go to the back of the replacement back plate I've designed. But that means the centering hole for the back is much more shallow, or the base is much deeper.
Is there a downside to turning the header 90 degrees so that they lump is on the right side of the newly made base? It means I can make it much thinner. Which is cheaper. And the mounting holes are the same depth.
Thanks
Scott
My original design that I want to turn the heater 90 degrees right. It's a bit dark, but you get the idea.
