Topic: Extruder won't extrude -- I don't think it's a clog issue

Hello! I have a Solidoodle Press which has been working fairly well for me until today. I use ABS filament and something went awry with it. I had to take the plate off the extruder and pull out the chewed up filament so I can replace it. I have done that with my other Press with no issue.

The problem: when I tried to feed it new filament, the gears that grab and pull the filament through no longer turn. If you push the filament, it will extrude. However, if you send it a print job, the extruder goes through the motions of printing with no plastic coming out.

Has anyone had this issue? Is it a reasonably quick fix? I have a tutorial class in tomorrow and hope I can take care of it before they visit.
