Topic: Solidoodle Press 3rd party support in NYC

Does anyone know of experienced Solidoodle Press owners who offer maintenance to other users in the New York City area.

I have  had mine 4 months and only done 1 successful printing. I have a 38 email chain with Solidoodle.
Its just been issue after issue.

I did pay extra for support. I didn't expect to learn as much as i have from these forums and not from Solidoodle themselves.

what bothers me is how they ignore my requests to send it back in for evaluation.

Solidoodle is not known for their customer support. At this time, there are very few local places you can get your 3d printer worked on or fixed, even for a price.

Your best resources are these forums, and your local hackerspace. The one in New York is really good. I forget the name at the moment. I believe Makerbot came out of it.  Also, you might be able to get some help if there is a 3d printer Meet-Up.
