Topic: Heatpad always on

Hi there,

I have a solidoodle 2 with some mods on it. The last weeks i did some changes on the machine, but only some optical things. I put all cables into liners and put a new glas bed in.

now: as soon as i switch on the PSU (HP server PSU) the heatpad starts heating up, without switching it on in repetier host.

Any ideas?

(only idea I have is trying the reset switch on the solidoodle board. Not sure if it is reseted, after pluging on and off, anyway.

Thanks

Re: Heatpad always on

Did you unplug and then re-connect any wires/plugs from the board in order to put them into the liners?

Re: Heatpad always on

of course I did, I also checked if all the wires are back on their very spot... I checked that. All other funktions like the extruder temperature work well.

I have to chek if the bed temp raises above the 95°C, that are set up in repetier host.

Re: Heatpad always on

About the only things that power on immediately upon switching the PSU on are the LEDs and the Extruder Motor cooling fan.  Double-check those connections.

Also, if you unplug the usb from your computer, does the heat bed still heat up when you power on?  If so, this could indicate a blown mosfet if all your connections are OK...
