Re: Lets see those bridges

The best you could do in length on a Da Vinci 1.0 is about 275 if you print diagonal. I'll have to see what  Ramps and Marlin on a stock extruder get me.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

You would need support at a mid point so point to point it technically would really not be that curved.

Still having issues. My extruder now starts clicking after about 10 minutes into a print. Have tried multpile filaments and same thing temps stay stable so I am not sure what it is..

try printing with mainboard outside of the printer and if you can with a fan over it.

I actually have a large hole cut in the back door with a 120mm fan mounted to it blowing directly on the board. I had to do this to get around the bed MOSFET dropping out which is known problem with RAMPS.

I am about ready to throw in the towel and sell the whole thing. it is getting on my nerves as now I can't even print the parts I need to rebuild my Delta.

I know the feeling, my bf's dog chewed up my lawsy carriages mid upgrade and I need to get my delta built so I can reprint them.

Once I have it up and running, I can do a rostock vs SD3 bridge test. It'll be fun!

SD3 w/ RUMBA (8825s), merlin hot end (in pieces). Ender3 w/ silent board for PLA printing. Ender5 w/ silent board, e3d v6, new z lead screw, and glass bed. DiY Kossel w/ smoothieboard (in pieces). Vellman Vertex (in pieces)
Shapeoko2 router in process of being converted to laser engraver (in pieces)
Multicam 5000 series CNC Router w/ 11HP spindle, 5x10' table, and auto tool changer (in pieces)

Then maybe you have a problem with wiring. I had them both wink.

Looks like it may have been a driver and still could be the motor. It might be damaging the driver over time. I put a new driver in and printed a 2.5 hour print with no issue. Now I am going to start on an 8 hour Delta motor mount and see what happens.

I have a new complete RAMPS on the way with DRV88 drivers this time and a new motor.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm using it as an excuse to keep all hands on deck for the rostock build. Until that's done, I have TWO printers down.

Sometimes a little motivation can be a good thing!
