Topic: Repetier Questions

Hey everyone I'll keep this post nice and short, I am trying to weigh the pros and cons of flashing repetier software to my dacvinci 1.0.
1. Can I flash it with my printer having 1.2.7 firmware right now
2. Does this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjuCvlnpB7M still work? I mean it should since its just resetting the chip and programming it as an arduino right?
3. Are there any errors you guys have had with repetier? he talks about homing issues and sometimes the printer has black bars on boot up.
4. Do you think it will fix this issue http://www.soliforum.com/topic/11236/qu … fill-gaps/?

repetier will not solve that.  you need a different post processor.  repetier opens more options.  you can jump through some hoops and get slic3r working with hacked xyzware, but slic3r kinda sucks too.  just spend the money on simplify3d.  $150 is nothing for cam software
