Topic: Broken "Ceramic" pad on heat element block

So I was removing the nozzle to clean a clog and I cracked half of one of the "ceramic" pads off that cover and insulate the electrodes on the heating element block. When I put it all back together I put it back over and wrapped some Kapton around the block to hold it on. Should I be concerned about this or will my fix be ok? I have not printed anything yet since it happened.

You'll be fine even without the tape.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

You may want to re-run your PID calibrations just to be sure your temps remain stable. Check the wiki on how to do this, it's very simple.

Will do jagowilson. Of course you both know since you are in my other thread discussion that I am probably going to upgrade it anyways. I'll just need it to be able to print the items i need to make the change.
