Run the file through a service like netfabb then try it.

It could also just be the common video glitch. The sliced file is there, just does not show up. Have tried to go ahead and send it to the printer?

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

This has happened to me in the past on a few .stl I had got off of Thingiverse. Netfabb fixed them right up.

Win 8.1
Improved Da Vinci 1.0 with Firmware 1.2.5 and stock extruder
Arduino cartridge resetter and after-market ABS filament
TinkerCAD, Netfabb, Simplify3D

The golden rule with thingiverse is that if see a model but no one has posted their own print of it, chances it needs to be fixed or is just unprintable. Thingiverse caters to 3d modeling in general, not just printing. So much of the stuff was never intended to be printed or the designer was unaware of the limitations of 3d printers.
