Topic: Print stops after a few layers

Hi all.

I am using a solidoodle 2 with repetiier host. It runs perfectly on my daughters laptop (running XP). However when I try to print using my laptop also running XP or on my Mac it stops printing after a few layers and I get this error message ,

"Printer stopped due to errors. Fix errors and use M999 to restart (Temperature reset. Set it before restarting"

I should add that the extruder temperature goes way above the set temperature.

I am new to 3D printing. Can anyone help?

That is most likely unrelated to switching computers unless one of them has the temp set past 220.  Check the temp settings in the start code along with in the slic3r profile and on the manual screen in RH.  So that's 3 different temp settings in 3 different location.  If those are all good you have a bad thermistor connection.

Re: Print stops after a few layers

Hi

It was the temperature settings in slic3r. I had previously checked the thermistor with a multimeter and that was fine.

Thanks again, no doubt I will be back!
