Topic: Mine's broken
Fresh out the box, the acrylic on the print head that holds the spring screw in place is broken.
The LED's were on backwards, and something else seems not quite "right"

Must have been damage in shipping. Contact John (aka solidoodlesupport), he will take care of you.
Aww :-(
Put up some images of the damage, and maybe theres quick fix for it? Or maybe the solidoodle team can send you replacement parts.
I think this acrylic multi-piece design isn't that strong. The way they are pressing screws against very thin walls just seems wrong unless they bond the pieces together with superglue or something. Which they don't
Lots of other problems too, I post on the google groups, I can repost here.
Oh, BTW, uploading pictures on this board stinks.... I've copied the pictures from my phone to my PC and then attache to the message, and now I have to resize them or they won't upload.. It tells me it's too large, but doesn't tell me how big to make them. (file size is too big? or image size is too big?)
This shouldn't be a hard process. I wrote a web php image gallery 10 years ago that could resize the pictures for you, I know they can do that. Sorry I'm bit bitter due to my broken new 3d printer.
I was able to take apart the printer head, and superglue all the pieces back together. We will see very soon if it works.
BTW I had to update the firmware and change some config settings to fix the Z and Y axis homing issues that I reported in a different thread. (Thanks Ian)
Any luck with the printer? Support is always here to help
Yes, you sent me new acrylic pieces... I still have other problems and emailed you last week. It has to do with the bushings causing too much y axis friction.
Thanks for that info. I have some more filament on order from 3Dprintergear which should hopefully arrive soon. I'll keep putting up with this until I can do a comparison. I just cant understand what I am doing wrong, which is the biggest issue. Half way through a print itll just stop extruding and start stripping the filament, then no matter what I do, its clogged and needs to be pulled apart.
Wonder if one of these would fit ?
