Topic: Feed and storage solution

I scored a scratch-n-dent cabinet for $17.66 at a local department store (score!) which turns out to be perfect for filament storage and feed.  I live in Phoenix valley so humidity has never become a problem (20% RH is considered high for us) but I will probably put a dehumidifier in there anyway during monsoon season.

I found that I could just feed the filament out the door, and use an old empty spool as a guide.  I clip a carabiner on the filament so it hangs below the empty spool/guide behind the printer.  It's the weight of the carabiner that pulls the filament off the spool and the printer just lifts the carabiner as it whips back a forth.

Re: Feed and storage solution

I'm pretty jealous. Here in North Kakalaki leaving filament out like this is a good way for it to find its way into the oven... Looks good!
