Topic: Interesting Results - My resetter works without a firmware downgrade
Hello All
I took delivery of my new cartridge resetter yesterday.

I had the mount printed and ready to go and the module fit like a glove, I just needed to enlarge the pin holes a little with a round file.
This morning, I reset an almost-empty black cartridge that I had set aside for the test. The reset took mere seconds and the results stated that I now had 240m remaining in the empty cart.
This morning, I removed the full cart I had in the machine and replaced it with the empty, reset cart. I loaded the filament I had from the spool I have hanging on the back of the machine.
I'm running the most current XYZ firmware on my printer and I fully expected to have a cartridge error. To my pleasant surprise, the empty cart reads a full 240m and my printer is ready to go.
It would seem then that as long as you do not have XYZware installed on your computer then a firmware downgrade is not necessary to run reset carts.
I use Simplify3d and completely removed XZYware from my computer a few days ago since I never used it anyway.
This is good news for those who don't wish to go through the firmware downgrade process.
