I'm quite happy to see Chicago was mentioned a couple time (plus suburbs).
It's awesome to see this branching further than to just hobbyists and available to people, especially kids, who are interested. Here we have several workshops/Maker Spaces on top of business who openly print designs to the public, so it's a cool city to live in.
As far as my use of libraries and other spots, if both of my printers broke down, I'm sure I would have a few friends with printers around
