Topic: Z-Offset Calibration

Finally have time to setup the Press, following the "Press Calibration Instructions" Thread

I presume to be expecting the printer to print a few lines when i hit "Z-offset Calibration > Run Calibration Test"
But nothing happened. nothings printing nothings moving.

I only see the initial Z-Offset value changes.

Am i missing out something?

P.S: I downgrade the soliprint software to 1.0, as i researched that 1.1 z offset is not working

Thanks in advance

Re: Z-Offset Calibration

Is your computer/software recognizing the printer?

Re: Z-Offset Calibration

Try homing the X & Y axis first?

Re: Z-Offset Calibration

Once your printer is detected and selected, you will need to wait for the temperatures to reach its starting temp. Then it will start z calibration. Can take over 10 minutes depending how cold your room is.

Re: Z-Offset Calibration

Does anyone know what parameter this is stored in on the printer?

Re: Z-Offset Calibration

The Z-Calibration is set/retrieved using the M851 command, and saved to firmware using M500.  I discussed this in the Calibration Sticky here: http://www.soliforum.com/post/84010/#p84010

Once you have the value set in firmware, you can use any software to print, as long as you use G29 to home the Z-Axis before printing.
