Topic: Workbench Z-Axis Issues
First Post! Hey everyone, I have a little problem I'm trouble shooting and I thought this would be a good place to come for help! Please keep in mind that I'm relatively new to the 3d printing scene so this could (hopefully) be a simple fix!
Printer: Solidoodle Workbench
I've had this printer a little over a week now and there have been a few minor issues I've had to overcome to get it running smoothly but nothing to confusing until now (at least for me). The machine was running perfectly all day yesterday untill I started one last final print before bed last night. Before starting a print I sometimes will calibrate the home and Z axis just to make sure its all lined up, and this is where my problem starts. I clicked "home" in Repetier Host, the printer check the X and Y axis, dropped the Z axis and centered itself. Now normally the bed will slowly start to bring itself up until it hits the bed sensor to set the home point and then stop, but this time instead of moving up, it simply pulsed downward about 2-5mm and then stopped. I tried this multiple times with the same result. I decided to sleep on it and come back to the problem with a fresh brain, but now it seems that my Z axis wont move up at all... When I connect the printer to Repetier Host and try to move the bed up (z axis up) it simply doesnt respond. I tried setting the home point again but it just did the same thing as before, checked x/y, set itself up in the center and then pulsed down and stopped. Now I am at a point where my bed is all the way down and if It tries to move downward at all there is a horrible grinding sound which i know cant be good! I've been trying to send a command to raise the bed but i just can't figure it out on my own! Please Help!
