Topic: Platform tilted - Won't print even front to back.
Hey All,
So the first time I ran z-calibration the sensor didn't drop and the bed forced into the extruder for a few seconds before I was able to get it to stop. Now the platform almost seems tilted forward, or loose. When I run z-calibration I can set a good calibration but it seems different from the front half of the plate to the back half. I thought it would calibrate for an uneven platform but when it prints the front starts fine and then it is too close to the plate to get a good line on the back half of the model. I can see that the extruder is pushing into the bed as it moves back, the platform physically tilts forward due to the force.
Some articles say to level the bed by adjusting the screws, which I have tried. The problem is if I adjust the screws, the glass doesn't fit back in the slides. It seems I would have to re-tighten the connection at the back where the driver is, but I have no clue how to access that without dismantling the entire printer.
Any thoughts? It doesn't seem to mess with small prints much but a piece I'm trying to print is about 120mm and the drop is drastic enough to throw off the print.
Thanks,
Nathan
