Topic: Does anyone have an extra bulldog xl 1.75mm bowden coupling?

If anyone has an extra, send me a PM and we can work something out.

That's a loaded question.  I have extras but none of the ones that came with my BulldogXL work with the tubing or fittings that E3d uses.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End

Hmm maybe I need to design and print an adapter to get my e3d bowden coupling to work.

Let me know what you come up with.  I'm currently dealing with the same issue.

The bulldog uses a larger OD tube than E3D. I used an exacto to whittle down the end of the tube until it fit the E3D coupling.

That sounds like a good idea but the tubing that came with my bulldog is simply the wrong size.
I am no Bowden expert but I would think that having the ID close to the size filament we are using is important?

From left to right
E3d ID about 2mm
Bulldog about 3mm
Bulldog about 4mm

Maybe you could design and print one that works?  Just tweak your widths very carefully and set it to spiral vase mode.  Nylon would probably work or maybe even ninjaflex.

As a temporary solution I designed and used this.  It utilizes the clip from the E3d.

It is no permanent solution that's for sure.

Here is my solution:

If you want the files I can post them. I had to use heat (PLA) to get these parts to mold correctly to the coupling. Re designing the pieces with an ID of 9.25mm would be a way to avoid using PLA.
