Topic: Slic3r vs. Cura
I've noticed some drastic differences in the slices created by slic3r and Cura. I'm using both with repetier host, but slic3r uses usually about 60% of the filament that the same print with the same infill settings would require with Cura. However, Cura usually prints the same thing in about 60% of the time; it is much faster.
I tried bumping the speed settings in slic3r up to match those in Cura, but the resulting prints seemed like they were underextruded, with holes in the top face.
Any good way to get the best of both worlds?
