Topic: Has something changed in my firmware ?

Everything I have printed on my Da Vinci 1.0A since I got it last week, it has layed down the nozzle/print test by starting at the front of the bed, goes about 25mm before it starts to extrude, gets to about the middle where it then lays the next line inside the first towards the front of the bed.

Last night when I printed something it started about the middle of the bed, extruding towards the front of the bed, then next line back to the centre?  effectively reversing what it done before.

Could have the software or firmware been updated without me knowing and so changing this?

Re: Has something changed in my firmware ?

Different models will start in different places. It all depends on how the slicer decides to best optimize the tool path. Now if the purge line is starting different then yes there could have been an update. But as long as it is printing, does it really matter how it starts?

I think it all just depends on how the slicer decides to start the run.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Stock everything here and have seen the purge line start differently sometimes. Seems normal.

Thanks for replies, it was just unusual that every print I have done so far it always started at the bed front.
My serial starts 3F10APEU firmware 1.0.1 and software 1.1.34.7
I have seen firmware listed as 1.0.I or G but mine is definitely a 1
